Description: Under a large healthcare system, we have an immediate need for an experienced HIM Director at a 59 bed short-term acute care facility; just less than one hour outside of Fort Worth, Texas in Hood County. Responsibilities include working with 5 FTEs, 1 PT, and 2PRNs. The goal will be implementing the Universal Chart Order and decreasing loose filing. This individual will sit on the following committees (Utilization Review, JCAHO, and Policies and Procedures). You will report directly to the CFO. Relocation allowance is provided. Candidates must possess 5 or more years of HIM Director experience in a similar or large size acute care hospital. Knowledge of coding is required. RHIA certification is preferred; but we will consider RHIT certification with 10 years of HIM Director experience. This person must be a team player and a good leader. You must possess in-depth HIM knowledge coupled with a high level of integrity.
