Description: Job Code 07-0398 Title Sr. Transmission Analyst City Newark State DE Description Conectiv has significant opportunities and exposures to transmission congestion within DPL and in PJM through optimization of our generation value, our PLR load supply costs and our expanding origination and wholesale deals. This position will support strategic and commercial decision-making with transmission system analysis and forecasting of transmission congestion and its impact on Locational Marginal Prices. Requirments Required: * Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field OR the equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. * Experience demonstrating skill developing inputs, designing scenarios, running models, analyzing results and suggesting recommendations to improve market opportunities for short and medium terms on PJM transmission systems. * Experience demonstrating skill analyzing impacts related to changes in new unit construction, transmission and expanding control areas. * Experience demonstrating skill analyzing and projecting transmission congestion based on forecasted system conditions. * Experience demonstrating skill using load flow softw
are (for example, Power World, PSSE). * Experience demonstrating skill presenting findings and recommendations to others (for example, senior management and/or trading teams). * Experience demonstrating skill using advanced functions of PC-based spreadsheet software (for example, using v-lookups, creating formulas, performing statistical functions). * Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based word processing, database and e-mail software. * Ability and willingness to work extended hours as required. * Ability and willingness to adapt to changing work demands and multi-task accurately in a fast paced work environment. * Ability and willingness to cross-train with team members. * Ability and willingness to travel to various locations. * Ability and willingness to participate in morning and afternoon generation/load bid and Short Term Trading strategy meetings. * Must possess a valid drivers license. * Must successfully pass a Criminal History Records Check.

Preferred: * Experience demonstrating skill evaluating potential for merchant transmission projects. * Experience demonstrating skill analyzing and projecting congestion costs for day ahead market activity and/or origination and wholesale deals. * Experience demonstrating skill analyzing historical Financial Transmission Right (FTR) values and project future values to aid in monthly FTR auction activity. * Experience demonstrating skill monitoring and evaluating PJMs cost capping criteria. * Experience demonstrating skill building and performing detailed load flow analyses on ISO transmission systems (for example, Mid-west, NewEnglandand/orNew York). * Experience demonstrating skill using PC-based presentation software.
