The right candidate must be able to prepare and review conceptual through construction documents estimates on multi-million/billion dollar projects using past experience, historical data, and parametric estimating ratios. Must be able to assess risk and adjust prices accordingly; as well as advise our clients on risk mitigation, value engineering, market trends and otherwise act as our clients’ cost advisor. Experience training, mentoring and managing staff is a plus. Must be able and willing to assist marketing department in business development activities.
Outstanding communication
and presentation
skills, superior technical expertise in all types of estimates, and ability to manage the workflow and profitability of estimating teams are required for this position.
Bachelor’s degree
in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management or Chartered Q.S., minimum of
10 years related experience in large institutional projects and a strong knowledge of
MS Excel is required. Industry specific
certification (
CPE, PMP, CCE or similar)
.
, current knowledge of the
California
construction market, project management
,
and/or claims analysis experience a plus.
