Job Title: Statistical Modeler
Job Location: KS: Kansas City
Pay Rate: Open
Job Length: 4-6 months (contract)

Description: Skilled statistical modeler needed to assist in developing and enhancing predictive model for business applications.
Ability to build models from start to finish required. (i.e. pull their own data, manipulate their own data, build the statistical model, score the customer base with the model, and present the findings to a nontechnical audience {Marketing}).
Qualifications:
SQL and SAS Experience and the ability to pull and manipulate data.
Experience with relational Databases (i.e. Oracle, Teradata, Sybase, SQL Server, etc.).
Experience building Logistic Regression predictive Models using SAS
Linear Regression, Decision Trees, Hazard/Survival Analysis, Factor Analysis, etc. (not required, but I'm basically looking for a statistician with data mining skills).
Good communication skills
UNIX Experience (preferred but not required).
Skills needed:
Analytical and modeling support – work on projects including, but not limited to, multivariate analyses, statistical models including linear and logical regression, CHAID, propensity, churn and behavioral segmentation.
Data management skills – gathering of data from potentially multiple systems through programming (such as SQL or SAS).
Data Discovery – the evaluation of the combined dataset(s) in preparation for model building – for example, new variable definition/development in the dataset, freqs, etc.
Model creation – creating algorithms using SAS software, that are predictive, and meet agreed to model deliverables.
Validation and testing – perform statistical analysis to confirm the model will perform, as built and expected, against a sample dataset.
