Job Title: Operations Technician
Job Location: IL: Wood Dale

Description: SHIFT (Thursday - Saturday plus alternating Wednesdays; 6 PM - 6 AM CT)
· Assist and consult with customers in the design and implementation of customer architectures.
· Assist the customer in the physical layout and installation of their equipment in SunGard’s secure cabinets.
· Provide Tier 1 and 2 support to customers. Ensure customer installations are in accordance with standard procedures and Service Level Agreements.
· Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with assigned customers.
· Primarily responsible for monitoring customer applications and operational architecture through a Network Operating Center (NOC) environment.
· Respond to alarms in accordance with department procedures.
· When appropriate, escalate issues quickly and efficiently in order to solve problems within SunGard’s Service Level Agreement requirements.
· Issue trouble tickets when necessary. Maintain detailed logs and notebooks regarding customer applications, security, and operational readiness.
· Assist the Systems Engineer and Account Representatives, when necessary, in the sales process.
· Specific duties may include direct customer contact, explaining Inflows operational structure and abilities, and product demonstrations. Identify possible upsell opportunities.
· Ability to manage an aspect of facility support systems (HVAC, electrical, etc) May require liaison with the appropriate vendor.
· This position will be on-call for emergency response and may require shift work.
· College Degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
· CCNA or MCSE certifications preferred.
· 2 years related work experience preferred.
· Basic AS/400 knowledge a plus· Additional experience in the following areas a plus: Help Desk, Network Administration/Systems Administration, Technical Account Management, Electrical and HVAC
· Must possess strong customer service attitude and interpersonal skills.
· Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proven ability to execute multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
· Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· Demonstrated flexibility, organization and self-motivation.
