Description: The Private Banking Domestic Settlements Team Manager will manage a team responsible for Physical assets and trade processing. This will include transactions settling in DTC and FED. The Domestic Settlements Manager will be responsible for providing proactive personalized service, which meets or exceeds a client%27s time and quality expectations. While combining their knowledge and skills with available technological tools; Domestic Settlement Manager will be expected to monitor all fails and research all reconciliation breaks in a timely manner. The Domestic Settlements Manager is expected to have strong project skills in order to participate in high profile projects. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a staff in the Delaware location to facilitate Physical Transfers for the Private Bank and to coordinate settlement issues for Master Trust Accounts. . Provide oversight in Mumbai for trade processing and ID exceptions. Ensure the Settlements Team performs the following:
Respond promptly and accurately to client service requests/inquiries; foster positive relationship with client service and ensure day-to-day satisfaction through personalized interaction . Monitor daily account activity for fails, breaks and issues relating to security settlements . Coordinate internal communication with regard to service related issues or maintenance affecting assigned accounts . Monitor service standards; analyze service versus the criteria, which was set; recommend workflow improvements to better meet service objectives. Look for opportunities to consolidate like workflows in order to gain efficiencies for the group. . Provide backup and coverage for other team managers during times of increased volume as well as during absences resulting from meetings, illnesses, vacations, training, etc. . Develop staff: Offer timely and meaningful feedback to employees throughout the year ACCOUNTABILITY:
All Physical transfers on the Omni platform for the Private Bank. . Responding to a full range of client requests or inquiries; prioritizing work load, and always being cognizant of operational constraints . Quickly acting to resolve client issues in a time frame which exceeds client expectations, and informing the CSS, Banker / JPMS Salesperson, External Portfolio Managers of issues which may affect the overall client relationship . Proactively focusing on client issues and adjusting rapidly to changes in client need, the market or organization.%0A * %0A EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:%0A . Ability to manage a staff of 5-10 individuals. Responsibilities will include day to day manage as well as project work.%0A . 3-5 years operational management/project experience. Domestic Settlement experience preferred.%0A . The ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business and technological environment (e.g., introduction of a new product or work environment capabilities) and to utilize the tools which are available to service clients more efficiently%0A . The ability to work in high pressure situations%0A . The ability to develop good relationships with and
gain the confidence of internal clients(Client Services, Brokers, Vendors) and external parties(Custodians, brokers)%0A . Knowledge of primary Private Banking mainframe systems and PC based software including but not limited to Omnitrust, Titan, Word, Excel, Lotus Notes%0A . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills%0A . Strong analytical and problem solving skills to assist clients in resolving issues and improve overall servicing; strong knowledge of quality control techniques and the ability to analyze client accounts, activity, etc. to provide superior client service.%0A . The ability to apply product/industry and operational knowledge to solve problems and meet client needsThe ability to make strategic decision/recommendation for this process as it evolves.
