Description: The CommVault Consulting Engineer is responsible for providing CommVault professional services to the Western Region of the US. This includes providing expert consulting in analyzing clients' requirements, implementing CommVault solutions, optimizing performance, and training customers. Estimated travel of a minimum of 75% throughout the Western US.
Deliver implementation and consulting services to meet the solution design and deliverables
Help with assessment and design of client solutions with System Engineering and Sales team
Assist with basic project management (Project plans, Schedules, Communication plan, Resources plan, etc.)
Provide on-site knowledge transfer on CommVault products for clients' system administration personnel
Create white papers and custom documentation
Assist with post-installation issues.
Required Skills:
Strong consulting background in the Windows and Unix storage management environment
5+ years minimum operating system administration experience and/or consulting experience
Strong hands-on knowledge of :
Windows and one Linux/UNIX operating system
At least one backup and recovery product (Galaxy, NetBackup, Network, BackupExec, etc.)
Enterprise applications (Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Notes, Oracle, etc.)
SAN and networking design
Tape and VTL libraries (ADIC, FalconStor, SpectraLogic, STK, IBM, etc.)
Disk storage solutions (EMC, HDS, HP, etc.)
Microsoft and/or VERITAS clustering
Disaster recovery and design capabilities
Strong customer relations skills
Strong written, oral, and technical architecture skills
Experience with data center operations.
