Description In-Store Counselors work within Home Center stores to counsel consumers regarding lawn and garden care. Couselors will recommend appropriate products and will answer consumer questions about all of Scotts product lines. Counselors will be representing the Scotts Company as a primary resource for consumers and may be required to compare and contrast Scotts products versus others.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have valid auto insurance, a valid drivers license, own transportation for daily travel, and a high school diploma or equivalent work experience. Previous consumer counseling experience is preferred. Knowledge of and/or interest in lawn care and gardening is important. Experience using and applying Scotts products is also a plus. Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service orientation are required. The ability to present and influence is critical to the succes of this position.
