Description: Department Supervisors train, coach and develop associates in each department to ensure customers receive excellent service and can easily find the merchandise they need. In addition they provide valuable input in to merchandising decisions to the Store Management Team, Freight Team Associates and Inventory Management Associates. Department Supervisors have strong product knowledge and the ability to lead and develop others. A Department Supervisor in the Decor department should have product knowledge that includes, but is not limited to the following areas: Wallpaper Adhesive and Tools, roll-up shades, window treatments, blinds, shades and wallpaper types. A Department Supervisor in the Decor department will also use various equipment and machinery to cut shades and blinds.
