Description: A company selling over $1.5 billion in insurance products, located in Bellevue, is looking for a Senior Corporate Financial Reporting Analyst who will report to the Assistant Controller of Financial Reporting. The Financial Reporting team is responsible for accurate and timely production of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the Corporation. The team supports Senior Management, business operations and other areas of Finance by providing research, analysis, and management information. This newly created position will be a key player in the Finance Department and throughout the organization by organizing the quarterly reviews and annual audit with our clients external auditors, producing the quarterly Investor and Board reporting package participating in projects and company initiatives that affect the Companys financial reporting and internal controls, and providing research and analysis for management decision making. The successful candidate will possess an energetic, positive attitude and will actively participate and lead department objectives.
A Bachelors degree in Accounting is required, CPA/CMA strongly preferred. You must have a proven track record in progressively more complex accounting positions; prefer 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or 2-3 years of experience in the corporate accounting area of a publicly traded organization. Well-grounded and in-depth technical knowledge of current U.S. GAAP is required. You must have the ability to research complex accounting issues independently and communicate conclusions effectively. High quality communication skills (written and oral) are required. You must be able to deal well with ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; able to understand accounting issues and practices throughout the organization and across business units; and able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
