Description: A leader in the cosmetics industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to work at the companies headquarters located in downtown San Francisco. This position is responsible for the monthly close, the preparation of journal entries, cash accounting, expense accruals, coordination with external auditors, and the preparation of general ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis, as well as assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements. In addition, this position will be responsible for research and resolution of unusual transactions and ad hoc accounting projects as required, and will interface with other departments to resolve accounting issues. A BS in Accounting or Finance and 3-5 years of experience in Accounting is required. A CPA is a plus. Consumer products or manufacturing industry experience is preferred. Experience with Oracle is a plus. Strong computer and analytical skills, including proficiency in Excel, are required. An understanding of internal controls, accounting processes and procedures; implementation experience for 404 compliance is a plus.
