Description
QVCs Operations & Services - Distribution Division has an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to become a QA Supervisor in our Brand New, State-of-the-Art Florence, SC location. This facility is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2007.
Under the general direction of the Site Manger, Quality Assurance, establishes, monitors and assures the quality level and efficient processing of product for the warehouse site. Organizes workload for each inspector and Quality department to maintain consistent workflow. Develops staff to ensure consistent decision making in regards to product quality, long descriptions, pack recipes, and merchant/vendor communication. Determines whether quality of shipments meets QVCs Quality Requirements. Communicates with merchants and vendors regarding all related quality inspections.

• An undergraduate degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of five years experience in a quality/distribution environment is required.
• Prior lead or supervisory experience.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft software programs
• Must be knowledgeable in industry standards, manufacturing processes, federal, state and local regulations.
• A technical background performing quality testing in a manufacturing environment is necessary Must have in-depth knowledge of inspection criteria and processes.
• Good time management skills are required as is the ability to effectively work under the pressure imposed by the high volume of work. Must be capable of handling a variety of issues, problems, and priorities simultaneously.
• A high level of communication skills, both written and verbal -- including diplomacy, tact, integrity -- interact effectively with clients (buyers, vendors, management, etc.)
• Must be able to work independently and to make decisions on the spot.
