Description: In this role, you will apply structure-based design principles to guide chemistry efforts with an emphasis on developing fragment-based and scaffold-hopping approaches. You will assist in compound design and library build for target and class-specific hit generation. You will assist Chemists towards drug-like ADMET properties in compound design and educate others in the use of modeling software and techniques. You will also assist Informatics in providing computational tools across the organization. The selected candidate will have 2 or more years of industrial experience in computational chemistry and excellent understanding of protein-ligand interactions. Understanding of principles in physical organic chemistry, conformational analysis, and ADME drug-like properties is preferred. Expert use of major modeling software and the ability to mentor others in its use will be expected. Familiarity with other software packages and scripting languages such as MOE, Daylight, OpenEye, and Perl/Python is also preferred as well as knowledge of the Linux Operating System.
